FoodBank is the largest hunger relief organisation in Australia providing over 60 million meals to over 2,600 charities a year. They are the conduit between the food industry’s surplus food and the welfare industry’s need.
The a2 Milk Company proudly donates hundreds of litres of a2 Milk® to FoodBank Victoria every year. Team members from The a2 Milk Company also volunteer to pack orders for various charities at FoodBank Victoria’s warehouse.
The Upstream Challenge is a 50km walking event based in Melbourne that has raised millions for a variety of charities over the past 12 years. The event is unique as participants commit to raising a minimum of $200 to be donated to one or more of the associated charities, instead of paying an event registration fee.
a2 Milk® has recently partnered with The Upstream Challenge to ensure this unique community event will continue. Supporting the Upstream Challenge aligns with The a2 Milk Company’s vision for healthy living and engaging the community in a way that participants take on a challenge physically and also from a fundraising perspective.
Many Australian children face long-term disadvantage from poor access to quality education. The Song Room provides Australian children with music and arts-based education programs that are independently proven to improve their academic performance, literacy, attendance and well-being.
The a2 Milk Company are proud partners of The Song Room’s arts education projects that encourage more parents to be more involved in their child’s education. Research shows that high levels of parental or carer involvement has a dramatic effect on students’ connection to their learning, improving their school performance, confidence and their opportunities for success.
Together, The a2 Milk Company and The Song Room, are brightening the futures of Australia’s most disadvantaged children.
